Temporary Skill Shortage Visa- (Subclass 482)

The Temporary Skill Shortage Visa Subclass 482 or “TSS visa” offers complete flexibility for the Australian employers to handle skilled worker shortage for their firms. Under this scheme, visa can be sponsored for eligible candidates incase a suitable in-house fit is notidentified. Employers are thus, allowed to sponsor an eligible candidate from overseas to work for their business in Australia. However, it is ensured that Australian employees are given priority, first.

Eligibility

To be eligible for this visa, the basic eligibility requirements are-

  • One must have at least two (2) years of work experience in the relative occupation.
  • Must be sponsored by an approved firm
  • Must be nominated for a job in an approved occupation

Employer Nomination Scheme – (Subclass 186)

The Employer Nomination Scheme (ENS-186) is a permanent residency visa scheme for skilled workers. It permits Australian businesses to be eligible for sponsoring particularly skilled workers to live and work in Australia on a permanent basis. This visa aims at recruiting valid and equally qualified candidates who meet the skills shortfall in Australia.However, this visa expires 5 years post the date of visa granted.

Eligibility

Sponsor –
Candidate must be nominated by a legally running business organization or agency in Australia prior to visa filing.

Experience –
Candidates must hold minimum 3 years of work experience in the nominated occupation.Part-time work experience might be considered however, casual work tenure is notconsiderable.

Age –
The minimum age limit should not be less than 18 years and more than 45 years. However, exemptions as directed by the Australian government remains legalized.
