Contributory Parent Visa (Subclass 173) Temporary

The Contributory Parent (Subclass 173) visa is a temporary visa that permits the parent of an already settled Australian Citizen/Permanent Resident or eligible New Zealand citizen to stay in Australia.

Under this visa grant, applicants are allowed to stay in Australia for up to a tenure of two yearsand additionally work and study, as well. One can apply for the Contributory Parent Visa (Permanent) Subclass 143, provided one meets all the relevant criteria.

Contributory Aged Parent (Temporary) Visa Subclass 884

This comes under an ‘onshore’ visa application leading to a Bridging-Visa. Under this, one is allowed to temporarily stay in Australia. The Contributory Parent (Subclass 884) offers two-year temporary visa for the parents of an already settled Australian citizen or eligible New Zealand citizen for staying in Australia. Contributory Aged Parent (Permanent) Visa Subclass 864

The Contributory Aged Parent Visa 864 comes under the second stage of the Contributory Aged Parent Visa. Under this, an individual is allowed to stay permanently in Australia with the family.

Aged Parent Visa (Subclass 804)

The Australian Aged Parent visa permits older parents to stay with their children on a permanent basis in Australia in case, their child is an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or eligible New Zealand citizen, settled in Australia. In order to gain this visa, one needs to be in Australia for some tenure and meet their pension age requirements.
